What's New
🔄 Dynamic Home Screen Widget & Cycling notices
The home screen widget has been redesigned to be more interactive and informative:
- Today's Notice Count: The widget header now dynamically shows the total count of notices published today (e.g. `NU NOTICES (Today: 3)`). If no notices were published today, it cleanly displays `Today: 0`.
- Automatic 15-Second Cycling: If multiple notices are published today, the widget automatically cycles through them one by one every 15 seconds!
- Battery-Friendly Native Timing: Cycling uses Android's native `AlarmManager.ELAPSED_REALTIME` timer. It will not wake up the device from deep sleep, saving battery, but will start updating immediately when the user wakes the screen.
- Fallback Content: If there are no notices today, the widget continues to display the latest overall notice as a fallback so that the widget never remains blank.
- Deep Linking: Tapping the widget opens the app and directly opens the specific notice details page or PDF view.
⚡ Instant Pull-To-Refresh Widget Sync
- The widget is now updated in real-time when you trigger a pull-to-refresh on the homepage inside the app. This guarantees the home screen widget is always in sync with what you see in the app.
